The Reldas Story

The Reldas story began when Clarence Sadler established a men's and women’s clothing shop in Cwmbran, Wales, in 1948. Clarence's son, Ian, took an immediate interest in the art of tailoring and the way suits were crafted, which prompted a move to London in the early 1960's to work at Harrods Menswear Department.

After completing a course in fabrics and tailoring, and experiencing life in London, Ian returned to work with his father. Upon visiting a trade show in Dallas in 1971, Ian had his first glimpse of suit carriers and the success they were having in America.

Recognising a gap in the market, Ian decided to bring the idea back to the UK and in 1972, Reldas Garment Covers was founded, the name Reldas being derived from the Sadler family’s name.

Ian began operating from the back of the family run suit shop, focusing on providing two lines of quality suit covers and always looking at the products from a garment perspective.

Reldas soon gained worldwide appeal and moved to a larger premesis in 1976, which it occupies to the present day.

With over 40 years in the garment cover and printing business Reldas Headgread Ltd. continues its legacy as being a quality garment cover provider and introducing more quality products, with its Welsh family heritage at the core of the business.
